Haven’t been on here in a whiiiiile.
Chopped my hair. Can’t remember if I updated this the first time I did, but I just did again yesterday. Whooop!
Just finished my spring classes.
Going to Italy in a week and a half.
Life is crazy, but God is growing me every day! :)

Now this is remarkable.
I hope you, too, thought this was a picture of actual human beings. The fingers that slightly indent the flesh of a woman. Looks normal. but it should not. It is a 400 year old sculpture - marble - that is a fucking hard material.
Contemporaries used to describe the way Bernini worked as “raping marble” because he could do things to it, others were not even able to think of.
Another sculpture of his “Apollo and Daphne” is just as remarkable because he managed to sculpt leaves that were so thin they became translucent. Remember we are talking about stone here.
Bernini Sculpture: Pluto and Proserpina (1621-22)
We learned all about Bernini and focused on this sculpture in Humanities. When I first saw this I could even say, “Hey! That’s Bernini’s sculture!!!” (but I can never remember titles). I actually thought this was a remake photo of his masterpiece, then I saw it was the real deal. Says a lot about his work.

just an update.
I’ve been fasting from technology lately.
And I’m about to do it some more.
I am:
- Currently babysitting crazy children.
- Done with my first year of college.
- Trying to sign up for spring classes (two weeks late, only I would do that) and change my major. Both unnecessarily complex processes.
- Going on a road trip to Alabama/Golf Shores with muh gurlz tomorrow and
- not taking my computer with me.
SEEYUH!
I love posts that reek of humanities.

I know my two-word story.
Enough? Enough.
Before, I was never enough. Not to anyone else, but to myself.
I was never pretty enough, never smart enough, never talented enough.
Although I may not feel it all the time still, I am enough.
I am more than enough.
To Him, I am everything.

Just be thankful.
Be thankful in every crappy circumstance.
It’s easy to become tired of being strong.
It’s easy to quit acting mature.
I know this because I know myself.
I know my limitations.
I know my flaws.
I know every missed opportunity.
The inferiority of my knowledge confronts me…
